Setting Up Your First Product

Walk through creating your first product from start to finish — adding details, uploading content, generating a QR code, and testing the consumer experience.

Create a new product

  1. Click Products in the sidebar navigation
  2. Click New product in the top-right corner
  3. Enter the product name — this is the consumer-facing name shown when they scan the QR code
  4. Add a model number — your internal identifier (used for product lookup)

Tip: You can always edit these details later. Products start as drafts until you publish them.

Add product content

Switch to the product editor to add content sections that consumers will see:

  1. Specifications — key product details like dimensions, weight, and materials
  2. Care instructions — maintenance and usage guidance
  3. Warranty information — coverage details, duration, and terms
  4. Manual — upload or link to product documentation

This content powers the consumer product page and the AI Support Chat, so the more detail you provide, the better the experience for your customers.

Add compliance data (optional)

If your products require regulatory compliance, navigate to the Compliance tab:

  1. Select applicable regulations — ESPR, REACH, RoHS, WEEE, or others
  2. Fill in required fields — material composition, recycled content, end-of-life instructions
  3. Review compliance score — Veribl flags any missing or incomplete data

Generate your QR code

Once your product is ready:

  1. Click Publish to make the product live
  2. Click Download QR to get your QR code
  3. Choose your format — PNG, SVG, or PDF
  4. Select the size appropriate for your packaging

Test the consumer experience

Scan the QR code with your smartphone to see exactly what your customers will see:

  • Product information and specifications
  • Care instructions and manuals
  • AI Support Chat for instant answers
  • Product registration form

Tip: Share the QR code with your team to get feedback before rolling it out on packaging.
