Company settings

Company settings hold the details Veribl uses for your product pages, passports and reports: your name and logo, your VAT number and address, and the identifiers the EU expects from a manufacturer. This article is for whoever sets up the account. You need the permission to edit company settings, which Owners and Admins have.

Open company settings

Go to Settings › Company. Settings has these pages: Personal, Company, Team, Single sign-on, Billing, Data Model, Integrations, Markets, Languages and Audit log.

Changes are not saved as you type. When you change something, Veribl shows a save bar. Save to keep the changes or discard them.

Fill in your company information

In the Company information card:

  • Brand logo — used across your consumer-facing pages
  • Company name
  • EU VAT number — shown as the manufacturer's VAT number on your digital product passports, unless a product has its own
  • Registered address — together with your company name, this is the economic operator on your product passports, unless a product has its own (an importer, for example)
  • Country — where your company is registered
  • Website

Add your operator identifier

The EU product passport registry card has an Operator identifier. Choose the type, then enter the number:

  • EORI number — your EU customs number: country code and up to 15 letters or digits, like DE123456789012345
  • GS1 GLN — a Global Location Number from GS1, 13 digits
  • Other identifier — another identifier the registry accepts for you

The identifier also appears on your public passports. A passport that is already published shows a new or changed identifier only after you republish it, because each published version keeps the details it had when it was published.

Note: Veribl does not connect to the EU registry yet. These details go into each product's registration (Passports › the product › EU registry).

Add your manufacturing sites

Below the registry card, the Manufacturing sites card lists where your products are made. You pick one per product for its EU registry entry, and per batch. Sites are not shown on public passports. Each site can have a GS1 GLN or another identifier.

Set currency and time zone

In the Regional settings card:

  • Currency — used for claim costs, warranty plan prices, spare-part prices and reports. Changing it later does not convert amounts you have already entered.
  • Time zone — decides when "today" starts and how report periods are counted. You can choose Each person's own time zone instead of one zone for the whole account.

How dates and numbers look is each person's own choice under Settings › Personal.

Markets

Settings › Markets lists the countries you sell in. Click Add Market, pick a Country, choose its Languages and a Status (Draft, Active or Inactive), and add optional notes. Open a market to see its languages and products, add products to it, and change its settings. From the row menu you can also Set Active, Set Draft, Set Inactive or Delete a market.

Languages themselves are managed in Settings › Languages. See Languages and translation.

Data Model

Settings › Data Model is where you define what you record about products. It has three parts: Overview, Product types (like hair dryer or T-shirt, each with its own fields and EU rules) and Fields (like voltage or weight, shared across product types so each is set up once). The overview shows how many products have a type and how many are missing required information.
