Creating Products

A product in Veribl is one item in your catalog with its own page and QR code. You can create products by hand, import them from a CSV, or bring them in from Shopify or Akeneo. This article covers creating them by hand and shows where the other routes are.

Create a product by hand

  1. Go to Products.
  2. Click Add Product › Create Manually.
  3. Fill in the form:
    • Product name (required)
    • SKU / model number (required)
    • Category (optional; products without one are filed under "General")
    • Description (optional; shown to customers on the product page)
  4. Click Create product.

The product opens in the editor as a draft. You can add the photo, GTIN, specifications, articles and manuals afterwards. See Editing products.

Note: Adding products needs the permission to edit products. If Add Product is missing, ask an admin.

Other ways to add products

  • Import from a CSV with Add Product › Import from CSV. See Bulk import.
  • Connect Shopify to bring in your store's products. See Shopify app.
  • Connect Akeneo PIM under Products › Import › Integrations. See Bulk import.

Duplicate a product

For similar products, open the ⋯ menu on a row in the product list and choose Duplicate. The copy opens in the editor.

Plan limits

Each plan has a product limit. When you reach it, new products are blocked until you archive or delete some, or upgrade under Settings › Billing. See Billing.

Delete a product

From the ⋯ menu on a row, or by selecting rows and choosing Delete. Deleting is permanent. If a product has a published Digital Product Passport, it is archived instead so the passport stays online. If you only want to hide a product, archive it. See Product statuses and publishing.
