Vera is the AI assistant built into the Veribl dashboard, for you and your team. Ask it how things are going, hand it a manual or a supplier spreadsheet, and let it do the busywork: writing product guides, filling in product and passport data, translating, and cleaning up photos. You stay in control. Vera looks things up on its own, but nothing changes until you click Apply.
Vera is not the same as the AI Assistant. The AI Assistant talks to your customers on your product pages. Vera works with your team inside Veribl.
Open Vera
- Click Vera at the top right of the dashboard. Vera opens in the panel on the right, next to the page you're on.
- Or use a with Vera button on a page, for example Import with Vera in the Help Center or Write with Vera on a product's Documentation tab. Vera opens with the request already typed, so you only add the details.
Vera knows which page you're on. On a product, "this product" means that product, so you don't need to name it.
Type your request in Ask Vera and press Enter. Vera shows each step as it works, and everything it mentions links straight to it, so you can check. When you're not sure what to ask, start from one of the suggestions in an empty chat.
What Vera can do
Answer questions about your account
Ask in your own words. For example:
- "How are we doing compared with last month?"
- "Which products get the most scans?"
- "What are customers asking about most?"
- "Summarize the open warranty claims."
- "Which owners are at risk, and why?"
- "Which flows are live, and how many people are in them?"
Vera answers from your real data: products, scans, registrations, contacts, warranty claims, helpdesk conversations, owner health and flows.
Turn manuals into product pages
Attach a PDF manual, or open a product that already has one, and ask Vera to write its guides. Vera:
- Plans articles that cover the whole manual, such as setup, everyday use, cleaning, troubleshooting and safety
- Brings the manual's diagrams and photos along, right where they belong
- Fills in the product details it finds and tells you what's missing
- Saves everything as drafts, so you read it before customers do
Vera can then translate the articles into every language you sell in. See Languages and translation.
Bring over an old help center
Paste the address of a help center or FAQ you already have (Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk, Help Scout, Gorgias, Shopify pages or any website). Vera reads the articles, copies their pictures into your Media and recreates them as drafts in your Help Center, skipping anything you already have. See Help Center.
Fill in product and passport data
The details are usually in files you already have. Vera reads:
- PDFs, such as manuals, datasheets, certificates and declarations of conformity
- Spreadsheets (XLSX, XLS, CSV or ODS), such as the product lists your suppliers send
- Photos of a label, reading the text on it
- Barcodes and QR codes in a photo, including EAN, UPC and GTIN, with the check digit verified
From these, Vera fills in product fields and passport data, and tells you what's still missing. Ask "What's still missing on this product's passport?" on any product. Vera can also create a supplier request for the data only your supplier has. See Suppliers.
Check which EU rules apply
Ask which rules cover a product, or what a rule requires. Vera looks up the regulation and points to the exact article it relies on, with a link to the official text. It can suggest the passport rules for your products, and you approve them. Vera's answers are not legal advice. For decisions about your obligations, talk to a qualified adviser.
Fix up product photos
Ask Vera to crop, trim empty borders, rotate, resize, square up a photo or remove its background. Vera saves the result as a new image in Media. Your original stays untouched. It can also pull the pictures out of a PDF manual and save each one to Media.
Set things up
Vera can do much of what you'd otherwise click through yourself, for example:
- Create and edit flows, add or remove steps, and turn them on or off
- Add markets and languages, and choose which products are sold where
- Create Help Center categories and articles
Attach files
Click Attach files in the message box to add PDFs, images or spreadsheets, or paste an image straight in. Vera reads them as part of your request.
You approve every change
Vera reads and looks things up freely. Anything that changes your data, such as creating, updating, deleting, translating or attaching, waits in an approval card that lists each change. Click Apply to make the changes, or Cancel to leave everything as it is and tell Vera what you'd like instead.
Every change Vera makes is in the audit log, marked as made by AI on your behalf.
Permissions and privacy
- Vera sees and does only what you can. If your role can't open something, neither can your Vera. See Team management.
- Your chats with Vera are private to you. Open earlier ones from Recent chats at the top of the panel, or start a New chat.
- Vera uses your data only to answer your requests. It is not used to train AI models.
- Make the panel wider when you need more room, for example to read a long plan.
Who gets Vera
Vera is $19 per person a month, and you pay only for the people who use it. It's included in the 14-day free trial and in Enterprise.
The account owner chooses who gets Vera under Settings › Team, in the Vera section. If you open Vera without a seat, the panel asks your account owner to give you one, or lets you add one yourself if you manage billing. See Billing.
Tips for good results
- Say what you want done, not how. "Write the guides for this product from its manual" works better than step-by-step instructions.
- Open the right page first. On a product, Vera already knows which product you mean.
- Attach the source. A manual, datasheet or supplier spreadsheet gives Vera the facts to work from.
- Review the drafts. Vera's work starts as drafts. Read them before you make them visible, since AI can get things wrong.
