Shopify App

The Veribl Shopify app connects your store to Veribl. It imports your products so each gets a product page and QR code, and it records paid orders so you can see which ones came from Veribl. It is for brands that sell through their own Shopify store.

Connect your store

  1. In your Shopify admin, install the Veribl app.
  2. Open the app and click Connect to Veribl.
  3. You land in Veribl at Settings › Integrations › Shopify. Click Connect store.

Veribl only reads your products; nothing in your store is changed. A store can be connected to one Veribl workspace at a time. If it is linked elsewhere, disconnect it there first. If the connect link has expired, open the app in Shopify and click Connect again.

Import your products

On Settings › Integrations › Shopify, click Import products next to your store. Later runs read Import again.

  • Active products become Veribl products. New ones start as Draft, so you can review them before customers can scan.
  • Imported: name, description, main photo, SKU, the barcode of every variant (a scan of any of them opens the product), weight, the product's page in your store, and your collections as product families. Generic collections such as "All" or "Sale" are ignored.
  • Importing again updates names, descriptions, photos and store links, and fills fields you left empty. Other edits you made in Veribl are kept.
  • A Veribl product with the same SKU is linked instead of duplicated.
  • Products over your plan's limit are not added. A single run reads up to 2,000 products.

The result tells you how many were added, updated, matched, and how many families were created.

Orders and revenue from Veribl

Once connected, Veribl receives paid orders and cancellations from your store. Each order is matched to your products. Veribl counts it as coming from Veribl when the buyer arrived through a Veribl buy link (from a product page, an email or a warranty offer) or used a Veribl discount code. You see the results in the Sales section of Analytics: clicks on buy links, orders and revenue from Veribl, where orders came from, and recent orders. See Analytics and Commerce.

Warranty purchases

If you sell an extended warranty as a product in your store, link it to a paid plan by using that store product's page as the plan's buy link under Warranties › Plans. When an order includes it, the plan's months are added to the buyer's most recent registration of a covered product. If they have not registered yet, the extension applies when they do. Cancelling the order takes it back. See Warranty plans.

Disconnect

Click Disconnect next to the store. Veribl stops reading it, and products you imported stay. If you remove the app in Shopify, the store shows App removed.
