By default your product pages and Help Center are served from a Veribl address. A custom domain lets you serve them from your own, such as help.yourbrand.com, so customers who scan a QR code stay on your brand. This article is for whoever manages your DNS.
Custom domains are available on the Growth and Enterprise plans. On other plans, the Verify & Provision SSL button shows a message that custom domains need the Growth plan, with a View plans link. You need permission to edit branding.
Connect your domain
Go to Branding › Custom Domain. The page lists three steps.
- Add a CNAME record. At your DNS provider, create a CNAME record for your subdomain that points to the address shown in the Setup instructions card on the page.
- Enter your domain. In the Domain field, type the full subdomain, for example
help.yourbrand.com, and save. - Click Verify & Provision SSL. Veribl checks your DNS and sets up an SSL certificate automatically. This can take a few minutes.
Use a subdomain such as help. or support.. The setup instructions describe a CNAME record for a subdomain.
Check the status
A banner at the top shows where you are:
- Domain not yet verified (amber): finish the steps below it. The message under the Domain field says what was found, for example the current status and a reminder of the address your CNAME must point to.
- Domain verified and SSL provisioned (green): your pages are served from your domain.
If verification does not succeed right away, wait a few minutes for DNS to update and click Verify & Provision SSL again. If the message says the domain is already registered, check that the CNAME points to the address shown on the page and try again.
Changing the domain in the field marks it as not verified, and you need to verify the new one.
What moves to your domain
Once verified, your consumer pages are served from your domain: product pages, the Help Center and registration.
