The Help Center is your public self-service site. It holds the articles you write, organized into categories, and it also feeds your AI assistant, which answers customers from your published articles. This article is for the team that writes and maintains support content.
Click Help Center in the sidebar. The page has three tabs: Articles, Categories and Settings. To create or change content you need the permission to edit the Help Center.
Turn the Help Center on
In the page header, the Off / Live switch controls whether the Help Center is public. When it is Live, a Preview button opens it in a new tab. While it is Off, customers cannot reach it.
Create categories
Categories group your articles on the Help Center home page.
- Open Help Center › Categories.
- Click New Category.
- Enter a Name, an optional Description and an Icon.
- Save.
On an empty Help Center you can start from suggested categories: Shipping, Returns, Warranty and FAQ. The category list shows each category's Name, Slug and number of Articles. Use the row menu to edit or delete.
Write an article
- Open Help Center › Articles and click New Article.
- Enter a Title and, if you like, a Category. Click Create article. The article starts as a Draft.
- Write in the editor. The title and a short description are at the top, and you can add formatted text, images and callouts. Switch between Desktop width and Phone width to see how it reads.
- Open the Article details panel to set:
- Visibility: Visible (customers can read it) or Hidden (only your team). New articles start as drafts until set to Visible.
- Category
- Use in AI answers: whether the AI assistant can use the article
- Alt text, width and alignment for a selected image
- Click Save draft, or publish by making it Visible.
To start from a Word file, click Import Word in the editor and choose a .docx file. Veribl imports it into the article.
Edits to an article that is already live are saved as a draft. The editor shows Unpublished changes until you publish them, and the Details panel has View live article and Copy link. Discard throws away unpublished edits. The Performance tab shows how the article is used, for example how often it was used in chats.
The article list has the filters Draft, Visible and Hidden, a category filter and search. Select rows to publish, unpublish or delete several at once.
Generate articles from your website
If your website already has shipping, returns or FAQ content, Veribl can draft articles from it.
- On Articles, click Generate from Website.
- Enter your website address, for example
https://yourbrand.com. Veribl scans it for help content. - In Pages Found, choose which pages to include.
- In Article Plan, review the planned articles and categories and choose which to generate.
- Veribl creates them as drafts. Click View Articles.
Tip: Generated articles are drafts. Read each one and edit it before you make it visible, since AI drafts can be wrong or out of date.
Review with your team
The editor has a Comments panel. Select text to comment on it, or leave a general note. Mention a teammate with @, reply in threads and resolve a thread when it is done. A mention can open the article directly with the comments showing.
Translate articles
The article editor has a language switcher. Each language shows a status: Original, Up to date, AI · needs review, Out of date or Not translated. Use Translate with AI, read the result and click Mark as reviewed. See Languages and translation.
Settings
Help Center › Settings controls the public site:
- Landing page: Headline (blank uses your company name), Description and Hero image. The hero image shows when the hero style in your theme is Photo.
- Custom links: up to 3 external links in the header of the Classic theme. Other themes manage the menu in the theme editor.
- Feedback: Show 'Was this helpful?' on articles
- Empty state: a Button text and Button URL shown when a search finds nothing
- Contact method: Contact type can be None, Contact form (to your Helpdesk), Email or External URL, with a Button label. Support visibility lets you show the link on Article pages and on Search no-results.
Colors, fonts and layout come from your theme. See Themes.
