Bulk import brings many products into Veribl at once, from a CSV file or from an Akeneo PIM. It is for teams that already keep their catalog in a spreadsheet, ERP export or PIM. Shopify has its own route: see Shopify app.
Go to Products › Import. There are three tabs: CSV Import, Integrations and History. If bulk import is not part of your plan, the page offers an upgrade instead.
Import a CSV
- Open Products › Import › CSV Import.
- Drag a CSV file into the upload area, or click to choose one. Files up to 10 MB are supported. Comma, semicolon and tab separators are detected automatically.
- Check the Field mapping table. Each CSV Column is matched to a Veribl Field, with Sample Data beside it. Change any match from the dropdown, or skip a column.
- SKU / Model Number and Product Name must both be mapped. The page tells you if either is missing.
- Optionally tick Update existing products. Without it, a row whose SKU already exists is skipped. With it, that product is updated.
- Click Start Import.
Common column names, including SAP and German headers (for example MATNR, MAKTX, Artikelnummer), and Akeneo exports are recognized automatically. Other fields you can map include brand, category, product family, description, EAN/GTIN/barcode, technical specs, and compliance and environmental fields such as energy rating and recycled content.
Save a mapping
Use Save Mapping Template to name a mapping (for example "SAP Export") and Load Mapping Template next time. Templates are stored in your browser, so they are not shared with colleagues.
Create a field on the fly
If a column has no matching field, you can create a new attribute from the mapping table and map the column to it.
Read the result
When the import finishes you see the totals for Total Rows, Created, Updated and Failed, with the row and message for each error. Click Import Another File to continue.
Import from Akeneo PIM
- Open Products › Import › Integrations.
- Enter your API URL, client ID, client secret, API username and password.
- Click Test Connection, then Save Configuration.
- Click Import Products from Akeneo.
Veribl imports all products. Products whose model number already exists in Veribl are skipped. The result shows how many were imported, skipped and failed.
The page lists how Akeneo fields map: identifier to SKU / model number, name, description, EAN or GTIN, weight, power consumption, energy class and the first assigned category. The brand name comes from your company name, the first available locale is used, and other Akeneo attributes are not imported.
Check past imports
Products › Import › History lists every import with its source, date, number of products and a status of Completed, Processing, Partial or Failed. Filter by status or date, and expand a row to see created, updated and failed counts, duration and errors.
