Passport access

Anyone can see the public part of a passport. Some data is restricted to people with a legitimate interest, such as repairers and recyclers, or to authorities. This article explains how you give those people access. It is for the people who manage passports.

Go to Passports › Access.

Invite people

Invitations are the preferred way to share restricted data.

  1. Click Invite people.
  2. Choose A person and enter their Email, or An organisation and enter the Company email domain, so everyone who signs in with an email at that domain gets access.
  3. Optionally enter an Organisation name.
  4. Choose the Access level and how long it is Valid for (30 days, 90 days, 1 year or 2 years).
  5. Click Send invitation, or Give access for an organisation.

People you invite sign in at dpp.veribl.com with their email and a one-time code. No password is needed. They then see restricted data on all of your passports until access expires or you remove it. See Partner portal for what they see.

Access levels

  • Legitimate interest — detailed composition, dismantling and safety information, and each battery's own data. For example repairers and recyclers.
  • Authority — also test reports. For market surveillance and notified bodies.

For one-off cases, click Quick access link, name who it is for, choose the access level and the validity (7, 30, 90 or 365 days), then click Create. Copy the link straight away: it is only shown once.

Whoever opens the link sees restricted data on all your passports until it expires or you revoke it, so prefer invitations.

Review access requests

Partners who open one of your passports can click Request access and give a reason. Their requests appear at the top of the page.

  1. Read the request, including the person's organisation and message.
  2. Choose Legitimate interest or Authority.
  3. Click Approve to give that email access for a year, or Decline. A declined person can ask again after a week.

Track and end access

The Who can see restricted data table lists each person, organisation or link with its Type, Access, Status (Active, Expired or Revoked), Expires, number of Views and Last viewed. Use the filter bar to narrow it.

To end access, open the row menu and click Revoke access. It stops working immediately.
