Creating a Product

Learn how to create and configure products in Veribl, from basic details through to compliance data and passport generation.

Before you start

Make sure you've completed your company profile in Settings > Company. Product passports inherit your company details, so this information needs to be accurate before you publish.

Create a new product

1. From your dashboard, click New product
2. Choose a product category — this determines which compliance fields are required
3. Fill in the basic product information

Required fields

• Product name — the consumer-facing product name
• SKU — your internal identifier (must be unique)
• Category — determines ESPR compliance requirements
• Description — brief product summary (shown on the DPP)

Optional fields

• Brand — if different from your company name
• Product URL — link to your product page
• Images — product photos for the DPP landing page
• Tags — internal labels for organization

Add product content

The Content tab lets you add rich information that appears on your product's Digital Product Passport:

• Features & specifications — key product details
• Care instructions — maintenance and usage guidance
• Warranty information — coverage details and terms
• User manual — upload or link to product documentation

This content is surfaced to consumers when they scan your QR code, and powers Veribl's AI Support Chat.

Save and continue

Products are auto-saved as drafts. You can leave at any time and return to continue editing. When your product is ready, move on to adding compliance data and publishing your passport.
